Frequently Asked Questions
Spending Insights provides personalized actionable insights such as how much money you could save each month, alerts for subscriptions that you may have forgotten about, recommendations for setting up budgets, proactive balance forecasting and much more.
No, you will be automatically enrolled in Spending Insights if you are enrolled in Digital Banking.
If you are accessing Online Banking through an internet browser, you will have a View All Insights button on the right side of your Accounts Dashboard and a Spending Insights option under More in the menu. If you are in mobile, you will have the same Spending Insights button underneath your accounts on the dashboard screen and a Spending Insights option under More in the menu.
Your insights are tailored to your spending habits and will be generated based on your monthly transactions which post to your accounts.
By clicking on the View All Insights button on the mobile dashboard, the new/unread insights will appear at the top of the Spending Insights page. You can scroll through these if there are more than one.
When clicking on the View All Insights button on the online banking dashboard, the insights will appear on the right side of the Spending Insights page. Click on Unread Insights to see your new/unread insights.
Click on More Info located under the insight you would like to see the details on.
The Cash Flow tracker tracks the money movement into and out of your account. This will represent the total amount of deposit and debit transactions for the month. It also displays all the transactions by category for each account which will allow you to add a personal tag or change the category of the transaction.
The Spending tracker allows you to see your spending for the month. It displays all the transactions which allows you to add a personal tag or change the category of the transaction. You can also look back at your previous months' spending.
Click on your Budget tracker and then click the Manage Budget button. Click the pencil in the budget category, enter the amount and click Confirm.
The Budget Milestone insight provides information that can help with your long-term financial goals, stop risky spending habits, and keep you from overspending. This information lets you know how much you have spent on your monthly budget, how much remains, or when you have spent all of your monthly budget for the specific category.
Click on either the Cash Flow or the Spending tracker, then click on the transaction you want to change. Click on the pencil in the Category line, choose from the list of categories and click Update.
The Upcoming tracker will forecast your balance over the current month based on your past spending. It will also show you what future transactions to expect as well as the dates in the period with the lowest balance. The Upcoming tracker will populate as the system identifies your spending habits and transactions.
If you are a joint owner of the account, Spending Insights will provide information based on the transactions posted to the account. You will see the insights based on both owners' transactions that posted to the account.
Currently, this feature is not available, but we will be adding this capability as a future enhancement.
