Through a partnership with the Birmingham Business Resource Center, Renasant developed a Small business Capacity Building Program for local business owners. The program provides participants the opportunity to attend intensive workshops designed to accelerate business growth and efficiency. upon graduation, participants are eligible to receive a capacity building grant.

Each of the 15 selected participants will be eligible to receive a $3,500 capacity-building grant from Renasant. In order to receive the grant, participant must have a Renasant deposit account. The funds will be deposited in the account; however, there are no requirements to retain the funds in the account for a certain period of time. The 15 participants are selected through an application process by a team of reviewers that includes both internal bank representatives and external community representatives. Applicants must reside in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Tennessee for eligibility. Application opens on July 8, 2026 and closes on July 22, 2026.
Understanding Youth
Understanding Youth is designed to equip young individuals with the skills, confidence, and financial literacy necessary for personal and professional success. Through engaging workshops, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on projects. Understanding Youth inspires participants to explore their potential and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
The Nest
The Economic Empowerment Program for Women, known as The Nest, is a series of events hosted at various Renasant locations that aim to support and uplift female entrepreneurs. Each event features and inspiring lineup of financial experts, speakers and panelists who share valuable insights and practical advice on business and financial success.
Bank on the Yard
Bank on the Yard is a program designed for historically black colleges and universities(HBCU) to highlight financial education and career opportunities. Topics covered include credit, budgeting, homeownership, and career opportunities in banking and finance.
Veterans Honors Program
Renasant is proud to support veterans through the Veterans Honors Program, which hosts quarterly webinars designed to help veterans navigate challenges and successfully transition into civilian life. By covering a range of topics from mental health and wellness to career advancement and financial literacy, the program provides vital resources for veterans as they move forward after their military service.
